How a player scored, or didn't, in one game or across the season. Points come from shot volume (the average shot is worth 1.09 points), shot quality (expected points per shot above or below that), shot making (points above expected), free throws a player's shots should earn (about 0.78 points per attempt), free throws drawn beyond that, and free throws made. Amber marks makes and points added; cyan marks misses and points given back. The court is shaded by each spot's expected points per shot, and the bar above it shows the player's spread of shots across that scale.

Every player, most points first.
The season's 100 highest-scoring games.
Points added by the shots a player takes (quality, up) and by making them (across), for the top quarter of players by shots. Each diagonal is a line of equal points added, the solid one through the league average; the dashed ones step out by one standard deviation at a time.
Each player's average minutes over the team's last 3, 5 and 10 games and the season, then minutes in each of the team's last five games, latest first. A blank means the player didn't play that game. Pick a column to sort every table by it. Download saves every team's table as one CSV, with a Team column.

This is NBA Scoring Chart (source) rebuilt for the browser, with the same models and the same arithmetic. The data is every regular-season field goal attempt and box score from stats.nba.com, refreshed each morning.
Expected field goal percentage at each spot on the floor, trained on shot locations from 2022-23 through 2024-25. Times the shot's value, it gives expected points (xPTS). See the model's map and every spot's value.
Expected free throw attempts per shot from where the shots come from, trained on 2022-23 through 2024-25 games: restricted area 0.375, paint 0.320, mid-range 0.293, above-the-break 3 0.143 and corner 3 0.021, plus 0.049 on every shot (the five areas).
Volume is 1.09 points for every shot. Quality is each shot's xPTS less 1.09. Making is the points a shot scored less its xPTS. The three add up to the points scored from the field.
xFT volume is expected free throw attempts at 0.78 points each. Drawing is attempts beyond expected, at the same rate. Making is free throws made less 0.78 per attempt. The three add up to free throws made.
A season chart counts every shot in the breakdown and the scale above the court, and marks the player's last 200 on the court.
